Robert approached June with champagne diamonds in mind. Taking his partner’s love for our Laurel ring into account, he wanted to refresh the design with a new diamond cut and color.

The Design Process
With our Laurel ring in mind, Robert’s personal design consultant created a mockup with all of his wants: a radiant cut champagne diamond, a split shank band, and a basket setting. He reviewed the rendering and expressed uncertainty about the champagne diamond color.
Because champagne diamonds exist in a wide spectrum of light and dark shades, it’s important to be precise. We presented Robert with a variety of stones so he could select his partner’s perfect color. After much deliberation, Robert selected a deep champagne radiant cut diamond. We adjusted the thickness of the split shank band to account for the diamond’s size.
Into Production
Robert reviewed the final version with June’s 3D rendering software. After his final approval, the ring entered the production stage. Our goldsmiths were hard at work crafting an exact replica of the digital renderings with his chosen premium materials: 14K yellow gold, and a 3.02 carat radiant cut champagne diamond.
