Green diamonds are all the rage this season. And with so many eyes on our new engagement style additions, our Lea ring keeps finding herself in the spotlight.
Sheila had eyes on Lea from the start. Shown on our website in yellow gold, she wanted to recreate the setting with a white gold look—and after further deliberation, requested a platinum setting.

The Design Process
With the help of her personal design consultant, Sheila’s custom design started with a recreation of the Lea setting: an oval diamond, with a diamond accented tapered band. She requested claw prongs (instead of a bezel setting) to make it appear more traditional, and considered white gold or platinum metal. Sheila ultimately selected platinum for its clean look and durability.
The next step was selecting the perfect stone. Sheila knew she wanted a fancy green diamond, but finding the right color was key. Green diamonds are rare and can vary in color. After viewing several stones together, she selected a beautiful green diamond with slightly blueish undertones.
Into Production
Sheila reviewed the final version of her ring with June’s 3D rendering software. After her approval, the ring entered the production stage. Our goldsmiths were hard at work crafting an exact replica of the digital renderings with her chosen premium materials: a 2.13 carat fancy green lab diamond and platinum metal.
