We love pushing the limits of a classic solitaire with a unique diamond setting. Steph & Ryder’s custom engagement ring is a combination of modern and vintage details, and we can’t get enough of the finished product.
Here’s a behind the scenes look at their June Studio process:
Stephanie loves an understated look, but she also had eyes on a glamorous 2.01 carat diamond. We started her design process with just a few must-haves.

First Iteration
Using Steph’s initial vision, her personal design consultant created a first iteration with June’s digital rendering software. This version featured all of Steph’s wants: a 2.00 carat marquise diamond, set east-west, with the addition of a uniform 4mm flat band and chunky v-shape prongs.
Second Iteration
Steph loved the width, but wanted to experiment with different band and prong details. We introduced a version featuring a 4mm round band and two dainty claw prongs.
Final Design
Steph loved the look, but wanted to up the softness. Her personal design consultant suggested a tab prong setting and a slight tapered band detail. These small adjustments rounded the edges of her marquise cut and added subtle curves (3.25mm base) to her 4mm round band.
Into Production
After Steph’s approval, her custom solitaire entered the production stage. June’s goldsmith’s were hard at work crafting an exact replica of her digital renderings with her chosen premium materials: 14k yellow gold and a 2.01 carat lab diamond.
